The goal is not to duplicate functions readily available elsewhere. In summary, N3ZH_Software tries to bring innovative ideas to Amateur Radio. There is also one memory bank reserved for SWL listening with importable EiBi SWL database file where one can select the broadcast language and target area to filter the list down to a schedule of broadcasts one is interested in. You get an orchestration of selecting frequency and antenna, along with all your equipment being informed and controlled. You can have the same frequency in several rows - each row using a different antenna along with its saved antenna tuner settings. A memory row does not simply have the frequency, split, and mode, but also which antenna to use, and the antenna tuner settings (cap and ind). (If PowerSDR would allow more CAT interface to the Flex internal tuner, then it too could be supported in this way - but not now - nor in the foreseeable future.) The most important feature - the best feature - is when using a computer controlled antenna tuner - and there aren't many models made/available to choose from. It also provides almost every possible control of the Expert 1KFA amplifier. This is not really needed as PowerSDR already provides excellent displays and controls for the Flex radios - but I try to add some of the controls/displays that are typically hidden in PowerSDR. Provides CAT control of many model radios - like ICOM, Yaesu, Elecraft, and Flex. Support LDG computer controlled antenna switches - model DTS4 or DTS6.ĥ. Such as providing auto band switching to an amplifier.Ĥ. The Freeware version rights were sold to HRD in.

This free program, while not perfect, is under constant revision and improvement and seems to do it all: rig control (works flawlessly with my Icom 746 Pro), logging (can't beat the QSL management tools), interfacing with just about all digital modes through it's companion program DM780 together with my trusty Tigertronics SignalLink USB interface. For several years now I've been using Ham Radio Deluxe a tour de force by Simon Brown, HB9DRV, as a poor man's SDR (software designed radio).
